Answer: When you are talking to a new student.

Explantion:

When your surrounded by different people. Different people meaning religion,gender, sexuality,or race. When talking to someone me that you don't know anything about you can use public speaking techniques. Ok so when your talking to a crowd of random people you don't want to offend anyone so you make a statement like " How is everybody?" Instead of "How are you guys?".
