The hole allows oxygen to escape the atmosphere because of the equilibrium concept. The air is able to be sucked out at any point by the outer space that has less. Oxygen naturally disperses itself evenly at any chance, which is not good when there is the hole in the ozone layer.

The ozone layer helps us not get skin cancer and the hole in it was caused by a gases we use to use in refrigerators. We dont use that gases no more so scientist say it should close in the year of 2040. If we did not have the ozone layer nor stratosphere it would be dangerous for people to go out on sunny days.
