The main themes of the play are: fate and free will with the
inevitability of oracular predictions is a theme that often occurs in
Greek tragedies the conflict between the individual and the state
similar to that in Sophocles’ “Antigone” and people’s willingness to ignore painful truths both Oedipus and Jocasta clutch
at unlikely details in order to avoiding facing up to the inceasingly
apparent truth and sight and blindness the irony that the blind seer Tiresius can actually “see” more clearly than the supposedly clear-eyed Oedipus<span>, who is in reality blind to the truth about his origins and his inadvertent crimes.

In the medieval times, there was a system called feudalism present. This was basically a pyramid scheme. The king was at the top, followed by the nobles, then the knights, and finally the peasants. The king would give away land in return for goods. This land also provides the people a sense of security. The king divides land and gives it to the nobles, the nobles divide up their land and give it to the knights, the knights divide up their lands and give it to peasants. The peasants will do work on this land, providing goods/services to the knights, who then give some away to the nobles, who give some away to the king.

Because of the attack on Pearl Harbor, we declared war against Japan, and since Japan had an alliance with Germany, they declared war on us.
And that is how we got involved in WW2 and became a superpower.Hope this helps! :)
