Answer:

A company plans to sell bicycle helmets for $26 each. The company's business manager estimates that the cost, y, of making x helmets is a quadratic function with a  y-intercept of 8,400 and a vertex of (500, 15,900).

B

How many helmets must the company make and sell to break even?

600

How much will it cost the company to make 600 helmets?

The selling cost for Stefan bicycle = $114 and

the selling cost of a helmet = $18.

The total cost for Jin is 120% of the money spent.

Let us assume purchasing cost of a bicycle = $x.

Purchasing cost of a halmet = $y.

<u>For bicycle </u>

120% of x is $114

=>  1.20 × x = 114

Dividing both sides by 1.20, we get

x=$95.

<u>For helmet.</u>

120% of y is $18.

=> 1.20 × y = 18.

Dividing both sides by 1.20, we get

y = $15.

<h3>Therefore, Stefan spent originally to buy a bike $95 and $15 to buy a helmet.</h3>

$114 - 95 = $19

$18 - 15 = $3.

<h3>Therefore, he made $19 by selling the bicycle and $3 by selling the helmet to Jin.</h3>

In the figure shown, BC is parallel to
arlik [135]

Answer:

52 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we drop a perpendicular line from point C to AD and call the point ( on AD) E we have a right triangle CED.

Now CE = 6 and as the whole figure is symmetrical about the dashed line,

ED = (26 - 10)/2

= 8.

So by Pythagoras:

CD^2 = 6^2 + 8^2 = 100

CD = 10.

So, as AB = CD,

the perimeter = 10 + 26 + 2(8)

= 52.

Jeremy will roll a number cube, numbered 1-6, twice. What is the probability of rolling an even number than the number 3?
andreyandreev [35.5K]
There are 6 possible outcomes on a dice. Meaning when you roll it it could be any of them. Because 3 is one of the 6 the answer would be 1/6
