Answer:

A) rate of 12%

B) rate of 10%

Explanation:

PV \div \frac{1-(1+r)^{-time} }{rate} = C\\

C   =  10000

n    = 5

PV = 36048

We solve for rate using a financial calculator or try an error or by looking at the PV tables of an annuitiues for the factor at n = 5 which equals PV/C

36048 / 10000 = 3.6048

this give us 12%

we do the same for b:

57,000 / 12,000 = 4.7500

we look for n= 7 for that facotr as; this is annuity-due (payment at the beginning)

which give us 10.000%

we could also use the rte function in excel:

=RATE(5;-12000;57000;;1)The first argument is the time period, then the installemtn and last the present value finally we add to excel that this is an annuity due.

In order to provide more complete information, u.s. gaap allows that any significant noncash investing and financing activities
vampirchik [111]

It is reported as foot notes  in cashflow statement or in the notes of financial statements.

When an income statement is converted to cash flows from operational operations, noncash items like as depreciation and nonoperating profits and losses are not included. Non-cash investing and financing entails making an investment or purchase using financial instruments other than cash.

The Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are a collection of generally observed financial reporting accounting standards and regulations. The four main constraints of GAAP are objectivity, the materiality, the consistency, and the prudence.

Companies are required by both IFRS and US GAAP to declare any substantial non-cash investment and financing operations, either as a footnote at the bottom of the statement of the cash flows or in  notes to the financial statements.

Therefore, the answer is the bottom of the statement of  the cash flows or in the notes to  financial statements.

Answer:

(c) 7.5 bars, 2/15 shirts

Explanation:

Opportunity cost is simply defined as the next best alternative.

Opportunity cost also refers to the loss of foregone gain which could have resulted had a non chosen option been selected over the chosen option. For instance, the opportunity cost of storing money at home is the average market rate of interest which would've been earned had the same money been invested.

In the given question, the opportunity cost of a t shirt would be :

= \frac{30\ Protein\ Bars}{4\ T\ Shirts}

= 7.5 protein bars

Similarly, the opportunity cost for a protein bar would be:

= \frac{4\ T\ Shirts}{30\ Protein\ Bars}

= \frac{2}{15} \ T\ Shirts

Thus, the correct option is (c) 7.5 bars, 2/15 shirts

Your company operates in a perfectly competitive market. You have been told that advertising can help you increase sales in the
NARA [144]

Answer:

Advertisement doesn't exist in perfect competition markets. Perfect competition markets are theoretical only, since they do not exist in reality although some markets resemble or are similar, e.g. commodities. One of the characteristics of perfect competition markets is that every participant possesses perfect information regarding the products' characteristics and price. If everyone knows a product perfectly, then there is no reason why you should advertise it.
