Answer:

a) The speaker of the lines is Mrs. Alsop, talking about the two aliens in her house.

b) They could not stay for supper because they are in a hurry to leave earth and fly towards their home.

c) Mr. Rafferty wanted to know where these creatures came from.

Explanation:

The short story "The Star Ducks" by Bill Brown is a science fictional story of how an alien couple came visiting earth, specifically the farm of Alfred Alsop. The news reporter from The Times Mr. Rafferty had been sent to investigate a phone call about 'some plane' crashing in that place. But once he got there, he fund nothing.

The lines in the questions were said by the lady of the farm, Mrs. Alsop who had been entertaining and talking to their 'alien' friends. She had invited them to stay a bit longer for 'supper' but since they were in a hurry to get to their destination, they had to decline and not stay longer.

The reporter Rafferty wanted to know what their names are and also where they came from.
