Answer:

The correct answer is D. Muhammad's first revelation from the angel Gabriel was that he must worship and obey only Allah.

Explanation:

Muhammad was reflexive and routinely spent nights meditating in the cave of Hira, near Mecca. Muslims believe that in 610 at forty years of age, while meditating, Muhammad had a vision of the archangel Gabriel. The first revelations made Muhammad think that he was under the influence of a demonic presence, taking him close to killing himself. His wife's mediation avoided such an outcome and encouraged Muhammad to listen to the revelations. Muhammad then described this visit as a mandate to memorize and recite the verses sent by God. During his life, Muhammad entrusted the preservation of the word of God (Allah), transmitted by Gabriel. The archangel indicated that he had been chosen as the last of the prophets and as such he preached the word of God on the basis of strict monotheism, predicting the Day of Judgment.

Why did Spanish colonists begin to rely more heavily on the Atlantic slave trade by the mid-1500s?
Maru [420]
Sharp decrease in numbers of native Indians.

One of the main reasons why Spanish conquistadors had to look for slaves from Africa, was the radical decrease in the populations of native Indians. The Indians had either died out of diseases or during the war of conquest. In addition, inter marriages had also occurred, and usually the mestizos were exempted from months of forced hard labor in the farms and the mines. However the main cause of decline of populations of native Indians was diseases such as small pox which the Spanish colonists had brought with them.

The Shatt al-Arab, however important, was not the only reason for Iraq's attack on Iran. According to the Iraq Country Study, Sa
Drupady [299]

Answer:

because of the fear of an alliance among the Shia Muslims in Iran and Iraq.

Explanation:

Though, the Shatt al-Arab was important, it was not the only reason for Iraq's attack on Iran. In Iran, majority of the Muslim population belonged to the Shia sect. While in Iran, though Shia sect was also present proportionately in a large number, the Sunni sect led by Saddam Hussein was the most powerful ethnic group.

The fact that the Shia sects from both Iran and Iraq belonging to the same brethren became a potential threat to Hussain. He feared that if Shia Muslims from both Iran and Iraq joined forces, it would threaten his power. Therefore, he attacked Iran in order to destroy any potential threat to his power.
