Although the Hundred Years War was a war which caused mass plague and diseases, economic downfalls for many peasants, famines and a general wipe out of the population even though it was a dynasty war (specifically in France), the French were able to regain their lost territory. The English retreated because of problems on their island nation and lost many of the zones they had established in France. Still, it is important to note that their were victories and defeats on both sides.
