Sometimes I feel like I'm the only kid in the world who has to do yard work. Every Saturday, my father gets me out of bed--the o

ne day I can sleep in!--and puts me to work. I don't really like it, but I've learned that yard work has many benefits. Yard work, like sports, helps you develop strength and endurance for your muscles. Yard work also gives you a sense of pride in your home, your family, and how those appear to the outside world. Finally, yard work can make you feel like a contributing part of your family that is needed for its success. It is always good to feel needed.
Which sentence could best be added to this paragraph as a supporting detail?

A)
Yard work is hot, sweaty, bug-infested, irritating, and unpleasant.

B)
I don't think that any of my friends have to do any yard work at all!

C)
Out of all my four brothers somehow I'm the only one who has to do yard work.

D)
Yard work also teaches me how to be responsible and take care of the things I own.

Since everything is about how good & positive yard-work can be (xcept for hook), you have to choose the one that gives positive feedback.</span>

"The Life You Save May Be Your Own" is a short story by the American author Flannery O'Connor. It is one of the 10 stories in her short story collection A Good Man Is Hard to Find, published in 1955.

“The Life You Save May Be Your Own”, is a story that reflects on each and every one of us. The main themes expressed in this story are corruption, the lost innocence, and how we become aware of our errors yet seldom do much to correct ourselves. This final theme is best shown through Mr. Shifflet's actions.
