Answer:

Selective attention

Explanation:

Attention is a cognitive process that consists of a complex system of components in continuous interaction that allows filtering relevant information based on motivations and intentions, as well as manipulating mental representations and modulating responses to stimuli.

Selective attention is defined as the ability to select a stimulus in the presence of distractors. For this, our brain performs a process of habituation in which we disregard the already known stimuli and do not give them conscious attention, managing to focus our attention focus on a single task.

The Posterior Attention System (SAP) is responsible for our brain possessing the capacity for selective attention. It is composed of areas of the anterior cingulate cortex, dorsolateral prefrontal areas and the caudate nucleus. These areas communicate through the noradrenaline neurotransmitter. This mechanism helps us to filter and prioritize the relevance of the stimuli, classifying them into objective objectives and environmental stimuli (relevant and distracting). We can do all this thanks to the inhibition of unnecessary stimuli.

The brain makes an orderly scheme where it prioritizes the need that person has at that time.

It takes you 15 minutes to drive 6.0 miles in a straight line to the local hospital. It takes 10 minutes to go the last 3.0 mile
Elza [17]
The overall trip is 15 min for the 6 miles. Plugging that into the equation for Average velocity you get 6m/15min. The answer is asking for m/h. So we know there are 60 minutes in 1 hour. You cross multiply 6m/15min with 60min/1h and get 360m/15h and can reduce it to 24m/h.
