  1. ∠2 & ∠7
  2. 8,15,17
  3. 720 °
  4. 36 feet
  5. 76 °
  6. Nonagon
  7. 59 °

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Alternate angles- Two angles are said to be alternate if they are not on the same side of the line, that intersects two other parallel lines. In the figure given above

∠1=∠8 & ∠5=∠4 (Exterior alternate angle)

∠6=∠3 & ∠2=∠7 (Interior alternate angle)

2. According to Pythagoras theorem, an essential condition for any triangle to be a right-angled triangle is (base)²+(perpendicular)²=(hypotenuse) ²

We selectively apply the given options to check which options fit in the given hypothesis.

Only (17)² = (15)² + (8) ²

3. The sum of all the interior angles of Hexagon is 6(number of sides) * 120° (measure of one interior angle)= 720°

4. In the question Height of the silo is 30 foot while the length of the shadow is 20 foot.

Distance between the tip of the shadow to the top of the silo would be (silo height)² +(shadow)²=(distance) ²

Distance=√1300

∴Distance= 36 feet(approx.)

5. The measure of the central angle is equal to the arc it creates. Hence arc measure would be 76 °

6. Sum of the all the angles of the nonagon is 1260° while no of sides is 9

Each interior angle measures 140 °

7. In the given Figure ∠6 and ∠7 are conjugate pairs summing up to 180° (since x and y are parallel lines)

Hence ∠6 would measure 180-121=59 °

A pentagon has a perimeter of 32 inches. Four of its sides are 4, 4, 5, and 7 inches long. What is the length of the 5th side
Bumek [7]
The perimeter is the sum of all the sides together so for this problem:
4 + 4 + 5 + 7 + x = 32
20 + x = 32
x = 32 - 20
x = 12 inches

A cylinder has a height of 2 meters and a diameter that is 5 times the measure of the height. Using 3.14 for pi, which of the fo
Simora [160]
Given that diameter of cylinder is 5 times the height and height=2m, then the diameter will be:
2*5=10 m
the radius=10/2=5 m
the volume of the cylinder will be:
V=πr^2h
π=3.14
hence;
v=3.14*(5^2)*(2)
the answer is:
(3.14)(5m)^2(2m)

Marcus is doing a science fair experiment in which he measures the rate at which Bacteria multiply.Every 15 seconds , the bacter
Anna [14]

Answer: 495 bacteria in 2 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

We would apply the formula,

y = ab^t

Where

a represents the initial amount of bacteria.

t represents the doubling time.

From the information given

a = 10

t = 15 seconds

Since after 15 seconds, the amount of bacteria multiplies by 2, then

y = 2 × 10 = 20

Therefore

20 = 10 × b^15

Dividing through by 10, it becomes

2 = b^15

Raising both sides of the equation by 1/15, it becomes

2^(1/15) = b^15/15

b = 1.047

The equation becomes

y = 10(1.047)^t

For t = 2 minutes(2 × 60 = 120 seconds), then

y = 10(1.047)^120

y = 495 bacteria
