United Farm Workers aimed to obtain better wages for migrant farm workers as well as better treatment. This group focused on economic issues.
La Raza was a political party formed to fight discrimination and better meet the needs of Mexican-Americans. They had been a part of the Democratic Party but felt they were not meeting the political needs of the group.
