Some popular "bad things" about Facebook are: Facebook takes the place of real social interaction, and makes users less connected to others in "real" life; it may also make users less skilled at social interaction in important things later in life, like communicating with a boss. Facebook desensitizes users to the feelings of others, since it is easier to disregard the pain and feelings of others when you can only see a screen; it is thought that this is what makes cyberbullying prevalent. And here's a recent one: there is a large concern that all of the information users put onto Facebook could be hacked or even sold/given away to a third party; compromising safety and security on the web.
