7. If a monopolist increases the selling price of a good from $20 to $30, then what is the marginal revenue?
ANEK [815]

Answer:

$10.

Explanation:

The key word here is a "monopolist", or an individual/company that has complete control over a certain amount of market. Marginal revenue, as defined, is an increase in revenue that results from the sale of one additional unit of output.

This is important to note, in that usually when a price is raised, as long as there is comparable quality with competitors who have lower prices, an increase of price will typically lower demand for the product(s) from that individual supplier. However, in holding a monopoly, no matter how much or little they change the prices, as the product is in demand, the market demand would not change as much assuming all things stay the same (i.e., natural demand is still the same amount as before the price change).

So, for example, that there is a natural demand for computer chips. You as well as your company, is the only company that makes computer chips, or at least you make the majority of the computer chips (>90%). This typically means that, if no other company or government has the means to be able to achieve adequate production of computer chips, and as computer chips are important in everyday products and a part of human life now, then an increase of price by $10 is justifiable under the Nature of Demand. The marginal revenue then, would be $10 (the amount increased).

The Anti-Federalist would limit the Federal government strictly to _____. managing of foreign affairs coining of money the power
Alex Ar [27]

The correct answer is the powers the constitution delegated to it.

During the development of the Constitution, the Anti-federalists were concerned about the size and power of the federal government. Many of these individuals were fearful that a strong federal government would become corrupt, just like Britiain's was before the colonists declared their independence. In order to prevent a tyrannical central government, the Anti-federalists proposed having the federal government only having the powers specifically given to them in the US Constitution.

What two events included the land which would become the state of arizona
astraxan [27]
Two events in the mid-1760s had a profound effect on Arizona history. The first, the transfer of the Louisiana Territory to the Spanish, lessened the threat of the French to the Spanish colonies. The second was the issuance of a decree by King Charles II of Spain to expel all Jesuits from the Spanish Empire. This latter event required that the Jesuits from the Arizona missions be taken into custody and sent to Mexico City. From there they were sent to Vera Cruz where they were put on ships bound for Europe. Their property, including the missions, reverted to the government. The missions in Pimería Alta were given to the Franciscans. By this time the missions were deteriorating, and most of the natives reverted to their original beliefs.
