North Korea has a closer relationship with China because both of those countries have, at some point in their history, implemented a communist regime. Also, during the Korean war, the United States were very involved which could cause a feeling of animosity between the U.S. and North Korea.

What challenges did african american in the south face after the emancipation proclamation?
erma4kov [3.2K]
There were many problems,

First, although they were technically 'free', there was little work in the war-tattered south, other than the very plantations from which these people were emancipated.

Secondly, they had no money or assets in most cases. Many began on the long migration of poor African Americans from the south to the industrial north, which continued through the 1970s.

The biggest problem, however, was the ongoing discrimination they faced. Jim Crow Laws throughout the south enforced segregation in public places, and most remained in place until the 1960s Civil Rights Movement ultimately resulted in Federal legislation negating most (unconstitutional) segregation laws.

Hope this helped!

What really happened in the Sepoy Mutiny?
stealth61 [152]
In late March 1857 a sepoy named Mangal Pandey attacked British officers at the military garrison in Barrackpore. He was arrested and then executed by the British in early April. Later in April sepoy troopers at Meerut refused the Enfield cartridges, and, as punishment, they were given long prison terms, fettered, and put in jail. This punishment incensed their comrades, who rose on May 10, shot their British officers, and marched to Delhi, where there were no European troops. There the local sepoy garrison joined the Meerut men, and by nightfall the aged pensionary Mughal emperor Bahādur Shah II had been nominally restored to power by a tumultuous soldiery. The seizure of Delhi provided a focus and set the pattern for the whole mutiny, which then spread throughout northern India. With the exception of the Mughal emperor and his sons and Nana Sahib, the adopted son of the deposed Maratha peshwa, none of the important Indian princes joined the mutineers.
