The large landmasses on earth are divided as Continents. Out of all the continents that exist, the one with the most land is Asia. It has a landmass of roughly 17,139,445 square miles. This equates to roughly 29% of all the land on Earth. With Asia being the largest landmass, the one with the least amount of land is Australia which only spans 836,330 square miles which is roughly %1.45 of all the land on Earth.
One of the main reasons why this occurred was because demand for furs increased dramatically in Europe, due to their value that could be used to buy spices and other goods.
