Personally for me, reading outloud is hard as well. (Especially since I have anxiety too.) But, I feel like that you just shouldn't think about it too much. Overthinking can make you even more nervous to read outloud. I mean, not everyone is secretly judging you while you read, even though it feels like they are. They just want to read and get out of class as soon as possible. If that didn't help, maybe try reading to a friend, then gradually getting bigger and bigger. Hopefully this helped you! Good luck!
Grandfather, you are my rock and my compass
Though times change and changes grow with the times
You never falter from the truth
Your guidance still remains a light in the darkness
Your kindness still remains a healing balm in times of deepest need
Your wit remains an artful skill to be admired
As sharp as the keen-edged sword
And ever as fresh as the morning dew
Your knowledge which could fill the sea with its depth
Has never born you up to vanity
The only pride I see in your eyes
Is the kind that makes me proud as well
Proud to have earned your admiration
Proud to have earned your respect
Proud to have earned your trust
Proud to be your grandson
Proud for you to be my hero

We make changes to ourselves every single day. We may see an act of kindness and then want to replicate that act. Change is unstoppable. However, if we really want to change, we need to: A set our mind to it and only think that way, and B Do actions that reflect the change that you are trying to accomplish in yourself. Like if I want to become nicer, I would compliment people as much as possible or even volunteer or do random acts of kindness whenever I could.
