3 0
You'll have to distribute the 6 to every term in the parentheses.
=6*(3/5)x-6*2.3=18/5 x - 13.8 = 3.6x - 13.8
Choice 4 is correct

-5x+10x+3=5x+6<br> Along with an explanation please.
vitfil [10]
There is no solution to this equation

X≠0

The answer would be 3=6 which is an invalid answer therefor an equation with no solution.

-5x+10x+3=5x+6

Combine like terms first

5x+3=5x+6

After this whether you make it 10x=9 that’s still an invalid answer but if you subtracted 5x on both sides it’d be 3=6

Therefore x≠0

<u>Algebra I</u>

  • Coordinates (x, y)

<u>Algebra II</u>

  • Distance Formula: \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

Point (4, -8)

Point (7, -10)

<u>Step 2: Find distance </u><em><u>d</u></em>

Simply plug in the 2 coordinates into the distance formula to find distance <em>d</em>

  1. Substitute in points [DF]:                     \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(7-4)^2+(-10+8)^2}
  2. (Parenthesis) Subtract/Add:                \displaystyle d = \sqrt{(3)^2+(-2)^2}
  3. [√Radical] Exponents:                         \displaystyle d = \sqrt{9+4}
  4. [√Radical] Add:                                    \displaystyle d = \sqrt{13}

State the horizontal asymptote of the rational function. For full credit, explain the reasoning you used to find the horizontal
Rzqust [24]

So here are the rules of horizontal asymptotes:

  • Degree of Numerator > Degree of Denominator: No horizontal asymptote
  • Degree of Numerator = Degree of Denominator: y=\frac{\textsf{leading coefficient of numerator}}{\textsf{leading coefficient of denominator}}
  • Degree of Numerator < Degree of Denominator: y = 0

Looking at the rational function, since the degree of the numerator is 2 and the degree of the denominator is 1 (and 2 > 1), this means that <u>this function has no horizontal asymptote.</u>

An arts academy requires there to be teachers for every students and for every . How many students does the academy have per te
nikitadnepr [17]

This question is incomplete

Complete Question

An arts academy requires there to be 6 teachers for every 132 students and 4 tutors for every 44 students. How many students does the academy have per teacher? Per tutor? How many tutors does the academy need if it has 132 students?

Answer:

a)How many students does the academy have per teacher?

22 students per teacher

b) Per tutor?

11 students per tutor

c) How many tutors does the academy need if it has 132 students?

12 tutors

Step-by-step explanation:

a)How many students does the academy have per teacher?

6 teachers = 132 students

1 teacher = x

6 × x = 132 × 1

x = 132 × 1/6

x = 22 students

Hence, we have 22 students per tutor

b) Per tutor?

4 tutors = 44 students

1 tutor = x students

Cross Multiply

4 × x = 1 × 44

x = 44/4

x = 11 students

Hence, we have 11 students per tutor

c) How many tutors does the academy need if it has 132 students?

44 students = 4 tutors

132 students = x tutors

Cross Multiply

44 × x = 132 × 4

44x = 132 × 4

x = 132 × 4/44

x = 12 tutors

The academy needs 12 tutors if they have 132 students.

Find the standard deviation. Round to the nearest tenth. 1, 2, 11, 8, 16, 16,20, 16, 18 OA. 6.5 O B. 6.9 O C. 1.5 ? D. 7.4
NikAS [45]

Answer:

A. 6.5

Step-by-step explanation:

First we find the average  \bar{x} of the 9 data:

\bar{x} =\frac{\sum_{x=1}^{n}x_{i}}{n}

Where n is the data number, that in this case is 9.

\bar{x} =\frac{1+ 2+ 11+ 8+ 16+ 16+20+ 16+ 18}{9}=12\\

The formula of the standard deviation \sigma is:

\sigma=\sqrt{\frac{\sum_{x=1}^{n}(x_{i}-\bar{x})^{2}}{n}}

We replace the data and find the value of the standard deviation:

\sigma=\sqrt{\frac{(1-12)^{2}+(2-12)^{2}+(11-12)^{2}+(8-12)^{2}+(16-12)^{2}+(16-12)^{2}+(20-12)^{2}+(16-12)^{2}+(18-12)^{2}}{9}}

\sigma=\sqrt{\frac{(-11)^{2}+(-10)^{2}+(-1)^{2}+(-4)^{2}+(4)^{2}+(4)^{2}+(8)^{2}+(4)^{2}+(6)^{2}}{9}}=6,54

We approximate the number and the solution is 6,5
