38 miles per hour.......

You would divide 114 ( the total miles) by 3 ( the allotted amount of time) which would give you the mph . 114/3 = 38 , so Alfred would’ve driven 38 mph or miles per hour.

Iris is building a model of the Washington Monument. Her model measures 15 in. tall and is 1.5 in. wide at the base. The actual
irina [24]
Using how tall it is over how wide
=>tall/wide
The model 15in/1.5in
The actual x/55ft

Convert everything into the same units so 55ft to inches
There are 12in in 1ft
55ft * 12in/1ft
The ft cross out leaving in
55*12in= 660 in

So
15in/1.5in = x/660in
Now solve for x my multiplying both side by 660in
660in *15in/1.5in=x
x= 6600in tall

BD is tangent to circle O at C, m(arc AEC) = 280, and m(arc ACE) = 140. Find m (The figure is not drawn to scale.)
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

The correct answer is second option 60°

Step-by-step explanation:

From the figure we can write,

measure of arc AEC = measure of arc AE + measure of CE

measure of arc ACE = measure of AC + measure of CE

measure of arc AEC + measure of arc ACE = 280 + 140 = 420°

measure of arc AE + measure of CE + measure of AC + measure of CE = 420

measure of arc AE + measure of CE + measure of AC = 360°

measure of CE = 420 - 360 = 60°

The correct answer is second option 60°

Find m angle f to the nearest degree
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

∠F ≈ 53°

General Formulas and Concepts:

Trigonometry

  • sin∅ = opposite over hypotenuse
  • sin inverse evaluates "backward" to find the measure angle

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

Looking at ∠F

opposite leg of ∠F = ED = 8

hypotenuse = FE = 10

Step 2: Find m∠F

  1. Substitute:                    sin∠F = 8/10
  2. Simplify:                        sin∠F = 4/5
  3. Take sin inverse:          ∠F = sin⁻¹(4/5)
  4. Evaluate:                       ∠F = 53.1301°
  5. Round:                           ∠F ≈ 53°

Need answer ASAP I’m timed What is the distance between the points (7, 8) and (-8, 0) on a coordinate grid?
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

17

Step-by-step explanation:

(7, 8)  (-8, 0)

First find how much the point moved in y to the second point.

8-0=8

So one side is 8.

Then find how much it moved in x. 7-(-8)=15

So the other side is 15

This will give you 2 sides of a triangle where one sides lenght is 8 the other is 15. Use the pythagoras theorem which is x squared plus y squared = c squared

8^2+15^2=c^2

64+225=c^2

289=c^2 Take the square root of both sides to solve for C

√289= √C^2

17 = c
