<span>Earth’s rotation takes about 24 hours. By definition, the rotation of earth is the amount of time it takes to rotate once around its axis. On average, this apparently happens once a day i.e after every 24 hours with respect to the sun (solar day) and once after every 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.09 seconds with respect to the stars (sidereal day). </span>
