She lied to save her husband's good name because she loves him.Because She Didnt Want Him to Get In Any Trouble And Have His Name Shame Put Out For Everyone to see.Elizabeth still loves her husband and wants to protect him. She, in part, blames herself for the affair. She also wants Proctor to admit his own sin rather than she condemning him.

Why is it important to address a counterargument when making a claim? Why is it not enough to just argue your side of an issue ?
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

Giving a counterargument allows the essay/writing to contain more perspectives that strengthen the claims as more perspectives allow the reader/viewer to see an overall "picture" of the argument. Also, being able to "debunk" the counterargument as false or not strong will help in strengthening your own essay/argument.

Including only your side of the argument leaves the reader/viewer no perspective of the whole topic.

Based on your research for Tuesdays with Morrie, describe how these circumstances would affect a person’s identity development (
Juli2301 [7.4K]
That was SUCH a lovely book! Probably one of my favorites of all time.
I assume you're talking about how it would affect the main character Morrie, yes?

Well Morrie is suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease. This disease is also known as ALS or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It's a <span>nervous system disease that weakens and deteriorates muscles and impacts physical function. It would really impact Morrie because he used to love dancing before his disease, which he sadly can't do now. Also it could affect his identity as a person if he doesn't handle the news of his sickness correctly. His whole being, his personality, everything could be affected.
