Edward Snowden is a computer professional. That is known for revealing details of classified United States government surveillance programs.

In short, he was a former CIA computer whiz.  He disclosed classified information from the NSA to the public without permission.  Global surveillance programs were revealed through his leaking of information.  This resulted in him having to flee from the U.S. to escape criminal charges.  
(CIA = Central Intelligence Agency.)  (NSA = National Security Agency.)
