The Northwest Territory was formed after the American Revolutionary War. The great lake is located north of America where much freshwater comes together and it consists of more than 6 rivers. Those who settle in Northwest during the late 1700s use the great lakes as a means of transportation, migration, trade, fishing and they also use it as means of irrigation on their farmland.
