Answer:

The correct answer is C. The connection between Roosevelt's "Four Freedoms" speech and his lend-lease program is that Roosevelt believed the U.S. needed to get involved in the war in order to  protect the Four Freedoms.

Explanation:

The Four Freedoms was an important concept in the State of the Union Address that the President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, pronounced before Congress on January 6, 1941.  The four freedoms were defined as freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom of want, and freedom of fear.

The concept played an important role in propaganda during World War II; the State of the Union Address was pronounced eight months before the American intervention in the war.

In that context, Roosevelt believed that the only way to guarantee the aforementioned freedoms to American and World citizens was through close collaboration with the Allies against Nazi authoritarianism. For this reason, two months after he delivered this speech, the federal government approved the Lend-Lease Act, which authorized a series of loans and deliveries of supplies and arms to the countries of the Allied side.

What types of slaves were sold at auction once they arrived from the middle passage?
Olenka [21]

Slaves were fed very little during the Middle Passage. The best slave ships fed the slaves beans, corn, yams, rice, and palm oil. However, the slaves were not always fed every day. If there was not enough food for the sailors and the slaves, the sailors would eat first, and the slaves might not get any food.

What is a major function of the president's cabinet?
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

B. To ensure that the president does not become too powerful

Explanation:

The main function entrusted to the cabinet is to participate in the task of ensuring continuity of the presidency of the United States. So officials closest to the head of state, included in the Cabinet, can attest to the inability of the US president to fulfill his duties.

As for the cabinet’s participation in the legislative process, the powers in this area are practically nullified. So the US President not only determines the legislative program, but also tightly controls the entire legislative process.

Which of the following is true about the original Milgram experiment (1965)? a. Nearly all participants called the experimenter’
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter c) c. Nearly all participants called the experimenter's attention to the learner's suffering, and many participants stated explicitly that they refused to continue.

Explanation:

The Milgram Experiment was a scientific experiment developed by psychologist Stanley Milgram. The experiment aimed to answer the question of how observed participants tend to obey the authorities, even if their orders contradict individual common sense. In analyzing the experiment, subjects were uncomfortable doing so and exhibited varying degrees of tension and stress. Participants did not mindlessly obey. Nearly all tried to disobey in one form or another. Nearly everyone called the experimenter's attention to the learner's suffering in an implicit plea to stop the proceedings. Many stated explicitly that they refused to continue (but nonetheless went on with the experiment)
