Although this is of course very subjective, most historians agree that they did not act wisely, since the colonists were asking for fairly modest reductions in taxes. The British simply could not imagine that they would lose a war against the colonists.

Although this is of course very subjective, most historians agree that they did not act wisely, since the colonists were asking for fairly modest reductions in taxes. The British simply could not imagine that they would lose a war against the colonists.

Explanation:

I do not think that the British administration responded reasonably because they initiated the stage for the colonist's disobedience. Yes, they were in need of cash but they didn't have to get so much at one moment to make the colonists mad. They could have been dishonest about it and just caught payment in smaller profits. When the colonist's traitor, they lose money in war and they waste all tax money.

Answer:

The Cuban Missile Crisis, also known as the October Crisis of 1962, the Caribbean Crisis, or the Missile Scare, was a 1 month, 4 day confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union which escalated into an international crisis when American deployments of missiles in Italy and Turkey were matched by Soviet deployments of similar ballistic missiles in Cuba. The confrontation is often considered the closest the Cold War came to escalating into a full-scale nuclear war.
