The correct answer would be C. None of the above

Here’s how you solve it!

First remove the parentheses so your expression will look like this:

-6-12+4n

Then collect like terms which is -6n and 4n so that you are left with this:

-2n-12

Now you factor out -2 from the expression to get your finally answer:

-2(n+6)

This answer is similar to option B however it is positive while option B is giving you a negative sign.

Hope this helps! :3

astraxan [27]

Answer:

 y  = 72x

324miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Given parameters:

      Speed of the car = 72miles/hr

       distance  = y

        time  = xhrs

Unknown:

Write a direct variation equation for the distance=  ?

Distance covered in 4.5hrs =?

Solution:

A. Write a direct variation equation for the distance;

    A direct variation is a linear equation.

   It often takes the form y = kx

For this problem;

      Distance  = speed x time

input the parameters;

      y  = 72x

The direct variation equation is  y  = 72x

B. Distance traveled in 4.5hrs

   y  = 72x

  x is the time taken;

  So;

        y  = 72 x 4.5  = 324miles

ehidna [41]
Number of adults' tickets (x): $7.50x + $4.00(500 - x) = $3,312.50 $7.50x + $2,000.00 - $4.00x = $3,312.50 $3.50x = $1,312.50 x = 375
No. of children's tickets (500 - x): = 500 - 375 = 125
Answer: 375 adults' tickets, 125 children's tickets
Proof (Receipts totaled $3,312.50): = (375 tickets * $7.50) + (125 tickets * $4.00) = $2,812.50 + $500.00 = $3,312.50
