Answer:

Trevor bought 20 gallons of gas. The algebraic equation that represents the scenario is x=\frac{32}{1.6}, o r what is the same, gallons purchased=\frac{total paid}{cost per gallon}

Step-by-step explanation:

The rule of three or is a way of solving problems of proportionality between three known values and an unknown value, establishing a relationship of proportionality between all of them. That is, what is intended with it is to find the fourth term of a proportion knowing the other three. Remember that proportionality is a constant relationship or ratio between different magnitudes.

If the relationship between the magnitudes is direct, that is, when one magnitude increases, so does the other, the direct rule of three must be applied. To solve a direct rule of three, the following formula must be followed:

a ⇒ b

c ⇒ x

Then

x=\frac{c*b}{a}

The rule of three can be applied as follows: if a gallon costs $ 1.60, how many gallons cost $ 32.00? So, defining x as the number of gallons purchased:

x=\frac{32*1gallon}{1.6}

x= 20 galllons

let x  be the number of gallons bought then

1.6x = 32 ( algebraic equation representation )

to find x divide both sides by 1.6

x = \frac{32}{1.6} = 20

Trevor bought 20 gallons of gas

Simply the following 2m⁵×5m³×7m²
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

2m^5\cdot 5m^3\cdot 7m^2=70\cdot m^{10}

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplify the expression

2m^5\cdot 5m^3\cdot 7m^2

Calculate the product of the coefficients:

2*5*7=70

Compute the product of the variables. Since they are all the same letter, sum their exponents:

m^5\cdot m^3\cdot m^2=m^{5+3+2}=m^{10}

Combine the results:

\boxed{2m^5\cdot 5m^3\cdot 7m^2=70\cdot m^{10}}

Bubba Bulldog and all of his dog friends love to hide bones! Bubba hid 444 bones, Barry hid 555 bones, Larry hid 101010 bones, a
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

58330.5 bones

Step-by-step explanation:

Essentially mean is taking the total and dividing that by the number of items.

Here, we need to add up all the bones and divide it by the number of dogs there are:

444 + 555 + 101010 + 131313 = 233322 bones

There are 4 dogs:

233322 / 4 = 58330.5 bones

Jake and Gloria are running on the track team. Gloria can run twice as many miles as
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

J+2J=12 so 3J=12 so J=4

Step-by-step explanation:

Use J to represent Jake's miles.

We know that Gloria's miles (G) is twice J, so G=2J

We also know that Jake and Gloria together ran 12 miles.

So we know, J+2J=12 or 3J=12   meaning J=4

So Jake runs 4 miles, and since Gloria is two times that she ran 8 miles.
