The two officials connected with the Teapot Dome oil scandal: Secretary of the Interior Albert Bacon Fall, and President Warren G. Harding.

President Harding was not directly implicated in the scandal, but was affected by it. After Pres. Harding transferred supervision of the naval oil-reserve lands from the navy to the Department of the Interior in 1921, Secretary of the Interior Fall secretly gave Harry Sinclair of the Mammoth Oil Company exclusive rights to the Teapot Dome reserves in Wyoming. He granted a similar deal to another oil company executive. The secret leases came under Congressional investigation. Congress directed President Harding to cancel the leases, and the Supreme Court ruled that Harding's transfer of authority to Interior Secretary Fall had been illegal. The whole affair took a toll on President Harding's health. He died in office in 1923.

What was one requirement of President lincons plan for the reconstruction
Drupady [299]
The ten percent

The ten percent plan, formally the Proclamation of Amnesty and Reconstruction (13 Stat. 737), was a United States presidential proclamation issued on December 8, 1863, by President Abraham Lincoln, during the American Civil War. By this point in the war (nearly three years in), the Union Army had pushed the Confederate Army out of several regions of the South, and some rebellious states were ready to have their governments rebuilt. Lincoln's plan established a process through which this postwar reconstruction could come about.[1]

how were the colonial governments similar and different, and how influential was england in colonial governance?
Nady [450]
England was only influential in theory because they practiced salutary neglect which means that they didn't bother the colonists as long as the colonies belonged to them and paid taxes. The types of governments depended on who the colony belonged to. Royal colonies listened to the parliament but Charter colonies often did what they wanted. England was influential only up until the point that people were willing to accept.
