A population of fruit flies where wing shape is determined by one pair
AVprozaik [17]

The value of 2pg in the given population is 0.432

Explanation:

Given:

C is normal

c is curly wings

So the homozygous dominant condition would be CC

Heterozygous condition would be Cc

Recessive condition would be cc

According to Hardy Weinberg principle,

p² + 2pq + q² = 1

and

p + q = 1

Here,

q² = cc = 100

q² = 100 / 1000

q = √0.1

q = 0.316

So,

p + q = 1

p + 0.316 = 1

p = 0.684

Thus, 2pq would be:

= 2 X (0.684) X (0.316)\\\\= 0.432

Therefore, the value of 2pg in the given population is 0.432

If there were more weeds what would happen to the rabbits?
EleoNora [17]
Rabbits tend to wander a lot and if it runs into weed or grass... well it eats it. eating weed or grass allows rabbits to gain more energy. if the supplies of grass and or weed increases the population of rabbits would increase too. the more they eat the more energy the have and the more energy the have the more they reproduce.
more power = more reproduction
more reproduction = increase in population
so all in all the more weed, the better it is for rabbits since the amount of food increases

The plentiful nature of resources in the tropical rainforest reduces competition for them.
Lina20 [59]
That statement is false

The plants still have to undergo a fierce competition in order to obtain sunlight. The taller trees will obtain more sunlight while overshadowing the smaller one.

Meanwhile , even though there are a lot of food resources in the rain forest, it also have many animals that compete for the same food.
