Answer:

The answer is 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

My reason of explanation is, lets say you want a Large pizza,

You get the large pizza and you put pepperoni on it. it's one pizza say

you want a small pizza with cheese on it. That's one size and one topping.

Say you want a medium size pizza with just sausage on it. that's one size, one topping.

Answer: You could make 9 different combinations.

Since you have 3 different sizes and three possible toppings, you'd simply multiply the first three variables by the second. Below, I've made a sample list for possible outcomes as an example.

<u>Sizes</u>                                          <u>Toppings</u>

Large                                         Pepperoni

Medium                                     Olives

Small                                         Green peppers

<u>Possible Combinations</u>

<u></u>

1. Large w/ Pepperoni

2. Large w/ Olives

3. Large w/ Peppers

4. Medium w/ Pepperoni

5. Medium w/ Olives

6. Medium w/ Peppers

7. Small w/ Pepperoni

8. Small w/ Olives

9. Small w/ Peppers

Hope this helps,

What is the answer? Really confused on how to figure this out
Natasha2012 [34]

Answer:

C.\frac{2(x+2)}{(x-3)}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{x^2+5x+6}{x-6} \div \frac{x^2-9}{2x-12} \\\\Now,\\Before\ touching\ the\ expression,\ lets\ look\ at\ the\ indiviual\ terms\ and\ try\ to factorize\ them.\\x^2+5x+6\\=(x^2+3x+2x+6)\\=x(x+3)+2(x+3)\\=(x+2)(x+3)\\\\x-6=(x-6)\\\\x^2-9\\=(x)^2-(3)^2\\=(x-3)(x+3)\\\\2x-12\\=2(x-6)\\\\Hence,\\\frac{x^2+5x+6}{x-6} \div \frac{x^2-9}{2x-12}\\=\frac{(x+3)(x+2)}{x-6} \div \frac{(x-3)(x+3)}{2(x-6)}\\By\ flipping\ the\ second\ term\ to\ its\ reciprocal, we\ get:\\\frac{(x+3)(x+2)}{x-6} * \frac{2(x-6)}{(x-3)(x+3)}\\\\=(x+2)*\frac{2}{(x-3)}  \\=\frac{2(x+2)}{(x-3)}

Which expression is equivalent to x^6 - 16x^2?
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

Theory : A difference of two perfect squares,  A2 - B2  can be factored into  (A+B) • (A-B)

Proof :  (A+B) • (A-B) =

         A2 - AB + BA - B2 =

         A2 - AB + AB - B2 =

         A2 - B2

Note :  AB = BA is the commutative property of multiplication.

Note :  - AB + AB equals zero and is therefore eliminated from the expression.

Check : 16 is the square of 4

Check :  x4  is the square of  x2

Factorization is :       (x2 + 4)  •  (x2 - 4)
