During photosynthesis algae provides coral with B.Food When algae grows on coral it makes more food for the fish and the coral absorbs some of the food.
My answer would be b. food. the reason why is because if you think about it, algea doesnt realy provide warmth underwater, it obviously cant provide sunlight, and it cant to much protecting. hope this helps.
