Let f=number of flowers in a vase, then:

5f-16=24  add 16 to both sides

5f=40  divide both sides by 5

f=8

So there were 8 flowers per vase in the beginning.

At MLC 1/8 of the girls are boarders. There are 300 boarders.
Pani-rosa [81]
Multiply 300 from both numerator and denominator of \frac{1}{8}

\frac{1}{8} =  \frac{300}{2400}

2400 - 300=2100

2100 girls are not boarders.

2400 + 300 = 2700

2700 students are there at MLC

klio [65]

Answer:

The members slope is flatter by half compared to the non-members slope. The graphs intersect at 600 tokens and $120. Until that point the cost for non-members is less than the cost for members. After 600 tokens the cost for members is less than the cost for non-members.

Step-by-step explanation:

I hope I have your equations correct:

Member:

y = 1/10x + 60

Non-Member:

y = 1/5x
