Answer:

\hat p =0.11 represent the proportion estimated of subjects reported with dizziness

n = 268 represent the random sample selected

\hat q = 1-\hat p = 1-0.11= 0.89 represent the proportion of subjects No reported with dizziness

E= 0.04 = 4% represent the margin of error for the confidence interval

\alpha= 1-0.90 =0.1 and this value represent the significance level of the test or the probability of error type I

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

A confidence interval is "a range of values that’s likely to include a population value with a certain degree of confidence. It is often expressed a % whereby a population means lies between an upper and lower interval".

The margin of error is the range of values below and above the sample statistic in a confidence interval.

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

The population proportion have the following distribution

p \sim N(p,\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}})

Solution to the problem

The confidence interval for the mean is given by the following formula:

\hat p \pm z_{\alpha/2}\sqrt{\frac{\hat p (1-\hat p)}{n}}

The margin of error is given by:

ME= z_{\alpha/2}\sqrt{\frac{\hat p (1-\hat p)}{n}}

Lower= 0.11-0.04 = 0.07

Upper= 0.11+0.04 = 0.15

And for this case we have the following info:

\hat p =0.11 represent the proportion estimated of subjects reported with dizziness

n = 268 represent the random sample selected

\hat q = 1-\hat p = 1-0.11= 0.89 represent the proportion of subjects No reported with dizziness

E= 0.04 = 4% represent the margin of error for the confidence interval

\alpha= 1-0.90 =0.1 and this value represent the significance level of the test or the probability of error type I

50km to 80km is 30km

10c to -80c is -90c

and since it linear (Which means the change is constant or the same)

every 10 km show a -30c decrease

so

60 km is -20c

70km is -50c

What is the area of this trapezoid?
Sonbull [250]
Find the area of the square first
Area = Length x Width
Area = 12 x 9
Area = 108

Find the area of the right triangles
Area = 1/2(Length x Base)
Area = 1/2(9 x 2)
Area = 1/2(18)
Area = 9
Since there is 2 triangles multiply by 2
9 x 2 = 18

Now add
108 + 18 = 126
126 is your area

What is the median value of the data set shown on the line plot? Enter your answer in the box. A line plot with twenty-two data
Bogdan [553]
Answer: the median is 6.

Please see the picture attached.

A line plot shows the number of occurrences (crosses) of each number of a data set.

The median is the central value, the middle number, of a data set ordered from least to greatest. When there are two middle numbers, the median will be the mean between the two.

In order to find the median, look at the line plot: count how many values you have (22), then add 1 (23) and divide by two (11.5). Since we have an even number of values, we will have two middle numbers, which will be in the eleventh and twelfth position.

Count the crosses from the left, the eleventh and twelfth crosses both correspond to the number 6, therefore the median is 6.

You can also write all the numbers in increasing order and divide them into two equal groups:
1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6 | 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 11

The median will be the average between the two central numbers, therefore 6 (again).

A) Write 600 as the product of prime factors.<br> Give your answer in index form.
dlinn [17]

Answer:

3 × 5 × 5 × 2 × 2 × 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Make a factor tree.

But let me explain the above to prove it's correct.

3 × 5 = 15

15 × 5 = 75

75 × 2 = 150

150 × 2 = 300

300 × 2 = 600

Therefore 600 as a product of prime factors is: <u>3 × 5 × 5 × 2 × 2 × 2</u>

Write the denominator for each of the decimal numbers. (each answer, 1 point)
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

.3078542 -----> 5,000,000

.0372 ------> 2,500

.26319 ------> 100,000

Step-by-step explanation:

.3078542 = \frac{3078542}{10000000} = \frac{1539271}{5000000}\\\\\\.0372 = \frac{372}{10000} = \frac{186}{5000} = \frac{93}{2500}\\\\\\\\.26319 = \frac{26319}{100000}     \\
