Answer:

Ruth convinces Robert to stay on the farm rather than leave on his planned trip with his uncle. This changes the direction of the plot because rather than following his dream of travel, Robert is staying on the farm where he will likely be unhappy. This is foreshadowed as the scene comes to a close:

RUTH. (in a soft murmur) Yes. Our very own star. (They stand for a moment looking up at it, their arms around each other. Then RUTH takes his hand again and starts to lead him away) Come, Rob, let’s go. (His eyes are fixed again on the horizon as he half turns to follow her. RUTH urges) We’ll be late for supper, Rob.

ROBERT. (shakes his head impatiently, as though he were throwing off some disturbing thought—with a laugh) All right. We’ll run then. Come on! (They run off laughing as The Curtain Falls)

Answer:

- It changed because he didn't travel.

- It shows a romantic thought.

Explanation:

The plot changes because Robert changes his opinion about the trip and he changes his opinion because of Ruth. She convinces him to stay on the farm. Robert wanted to go away. However, Robert changed his destiny so instead of travelling he stayed on the farm. This foreshadows shows the romantic life about Robert's character.

think about the central idea of this article like the great wall, the great firewall may not be able to protect chinas governmen
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

The correct answer is: It describes how China's government has used physical and virtual walls to protect itself through the history.

Explanation:

The main idea of the article ''Like the Great Wall, the Great Firewall may not be able to protect China's government forever" describes the systematic separation of China from the rest of the world by using physical and virtual walls to protect themselves from foreign influences. This statement refers to the fact that China blocks almost all foreign media, human rights groups or websites which considers harmful for its citizens.

These walls were a great way of defense through history, but, today, with today's technology development, those walls probably will not be strong enough to protect the country from foreign influences and new trends.
