P450 encodes an enzyme that detoxifies insecticides. Abc8 encodes a transporter protein thatpumps insecticides out of cells. Cps

encodes an external structural protein located in theexoskeleton that greatly reduces the absorption of insecticides. Based on this information andthe data in Figure 1, explain how a deletion of both P450 and Abc8 results in lower survival inbedbugs compared with a deletion of Cps only.

What do amino acids, fatty acids, and sugars (monosaccharides) have in common?
MariettaO [177]

What amino acids, fatty acids, and sugars (monosaccharides) have in common is that they are made of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen which is option B.

Amino acids are the basic structural units of proteins. Each amino group (-NH₂) and a carboxyl group (-COOH) in its molecule. Thus, from the molecular structure of an amino acid, the carboxyl group of the molecule contains carbon, oxygen and hydrogen elements.

Fatty acids are commonly found in lipids ans are made up of long chain alkanoic acids of general formular, RCOOH where R contains about 10 to 18 carbon atoms. the terminal  -COOH group contains carbon, oxygen and hydrogen elements.

Sugars (monosaccharides): they are naturally occuring organic compounds containing carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, with the hydrogen and oxygen present in the ratio of 2:1.  The general formula for monosaccharides is C₆H₆O₁₂.

Therefore, amino acids, fatty acids, and sugars (monosaccharides) have carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen in common.

Which would be the best way to determine the absolute age of a collection of sedimentary rocks that are thought to be between 50
Irina-Kira [14]
This can be done by absolute dating technique. In this, the amount of radioactive material with a known half-life is measured. The measure of the radioactive decay of the elements present in the rock helps in the back calculation of the age of the rock. For older rocks, isotopes of Beryllium, Uranium, Argon etc. are used.
