After a brief introduction of your topic, you state your point of view on the topic directly and often in one sentence. This sentence is the thesis statement, and it serves as a summary of the argument you'll make in the rest of your paper.

When developing your thesis statement, you should ask yourself these questions:

Do I answer the Question?
Have I taken a position that others might challenge or oppose?

Is my thesis statement specific enough?

Does my thesis statement pass the "so what?" test?

Does my essay support my thesis specifically and without wandering?

Does my thesis pass the "how and why?" test?

Hope I helped you out with your question!

Based on this excerpt, Randy Pausch believes that his students
Andre45 [30]

Hello!

You are missing the excerpt, is this one?

So I called up my mentor, and I called up Andy Van Dam. And I said, Andy, I just gave a two-week assignment, and they came back and did stuff that if I had given them a whole semester I would have given them all As. Sensei, what do I do? [laughter] And Andy thought for a minute and he said, you go back into class tomorrow and you look them in the eye and you say, "Guys, that was pretty good, but I know you can do better." [laughter] And that was exactly the right advice. Because what he said was, you obviously don't know where the bar should be, and you're only going to do them a disservice by putting it anywhere. And boy was that good advice because they just kept going. . . .

In that sense, the answer would be:

Randy Pausch believes that his students, although they don't complete any task, they do have a good potential.

Hope have helped.

tia_tia [17]

Answer:

Option B

Explanation:

In the sentence You will not be able to perceive any difference in the cells until you observe them under a microscope perceive means observing any difference in the cell.

Now since difference in cells can be determined when viewed through eyes using a microscope.

hence, here perceive means to see or notice

Option B is correct

Option A is incorrect as by reading the sentence we do not get any essence of making or doing something. Like wise option C is also incorrect

Option D could have been correct if the word microscope would not have been used. Hence, option D is also incorrect
