The plot of Susan Glaspell's Trifles revolves around the murder of a farmer. In the play, the county attorney and the local sher

iff search the victim’s house for clues that link the victim’s wife to the crime. What can you conclude from the sheriff's attitude in this excerpt? COUNTY ATTORNEY: (looking around) I guess we'll go upstairs first—and then out to the barn and around there, (to the SHERIFF) You're convinced that there was nothing important here—nothing that would point to any motive. SHERIFF: Nothing here but kitchen things.

I conclude that the sheriffs attitude is that of boredom and wants to get out of there or that the sheriff is hiding something and being very guiltless. If that makes any sense.

In this passage, we learn that the sheriff has already looked at everything that is to be found in the house, and that he believes there is nothing that could point to a motive for the murder. However, we learn that he thinks kitchen things are unimportant. This shows that the sheriff is not very inquisitive, as he does not think of the possibility of "kitchen things" being used for murder.

Is wax a closed syllable word?
shutvik [7]
To figure out if a word is a closed or open syllable word, look at the vowel (a, e, i, o, u)

wax

open syllables- word ends on a vowel
closed syllables- the vowel is followed by a consonant or more

therefore, wax is a closed syllable

(another example; fro-zen; fro would be the open syllable since it ends on O (vowel); while zen - the e (VOWEL) is followed by a consonant (n)

How to convince my uncle to help me to study abroad
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

I also want to study abroad, but it's not really that easy when you need to have enough to pay for your expenses (food, clothing, school supplies) and a student visa. It takes a lot of process, but if you really want to, then study hard because your GPA and scores depends on whether you can go or not. Go for it if that's what you want! :)

Studying abroad is an opportunity to learn about culture, adventure and it can help greatly benefit for your future. But, not everyone does that though but it's going to be great. I hope I helped and good luck!
