Answer:

The correct answer is: Disposal of wastes

Explanation:

Nuclear Power Plants are one of the most environmentally friendly energy sources of the planet, very low emission of greenhouse effect gases makes Nuclear power a good alternative for obtaining energy, almost 19% of USA energy is nuclear and the majority of its waste disposal is in Nevada.

But Nuclear energy has some consequences that have to be analyzed carefully, while there are not many emissions of greenhouse gases, the massive construction of Nuclear plants could result in environmental degradation. Also, nuclear power Waste disposal is perhaps the most concerning aspect of this energy, these radioactive wastes are very harmful to live organisms, these wastes can last up to 10 thousand years to be degraded, because of this the Nuclear wastes are being buried deep underground to isolate them for that many years. Having such damaging wastes and no immediate way to get dispose them is a big concern for Nuclear power.

And if we include that accidents can happen, like the Chernobyl nuclear crisis the consequences of bad management of nuclear energy are what most concern the world about this "environmentally friendly" energy source.

Western Europe is more developed than Eastern Europe because ____.
Alla [95]

Western Europe is more developed than Eastern Europe because the market economy of Western Europe provides an economic advantage

Explanation:

Stark differences persist between the western and eastern part of Europe. While western Europe was under the influence of Capitalism mode of production (led by the US and Great Britain), the eastern part was led by the erstwhile USSR following socialist mode of production.

Under the market economy, open competition and adaptive hand-holding by the US, western European countries prospered by leaps and bound. Marshall plan prepared by the US helped in post-war reconstruction of western Europe. On the other hand, eastern countries fell prey to the despotic rule of dictators, political instability and socialisation of assets. There were no such private assets and the important assets were nationalised. In the long run, the socialistic model of the market could not stand up to capitalism and fell in 1991 when the USSR disintegrated.

You're walking on a beach and see a spit. Explain how a spit could have formed from a rocky headland
jek_recluse [69]

A spit could form from a rocky headland where prevailing winds would blow at an angle to the rocky headland, gradually depositing sand and shingle at that place.

A spit is a permanent landform resulting from marine deposition and wind deposition. It is usually a long and narrow accumulation of sand or shingle with one joined to the land and the other end projecting at a narrow angle out into the sea.

Salt marshes sometimes form on the sheltered side of a spit.
