Baroque is a period in art history which lasted about 1600 to 1750. This was the time when highly ornamental, expressive literature and music flourished across Europe. The specialty of the music in this era was that it was very dense, intricately composed as there was a strong emphasis over polyphonic writing. The instruments such as harpsichord was considered bread and butter of baroque world. It performed as a solo instrument as well as basso continuo with cello and double bass that went along with a broad variety of baroque music.
