Global climate change has a tremendous impact on changes in sea level. A rise in the sea level occurs as a result of melting of glacial ice and expansion of the upper oceans. Sea level rise could lead to flooding and storm surges and this increases the risk of drowning, loss of property and displacement from homes.  It affects human health and production negatively as they are exposed to hazards caused by flooding. This could also affect the soil quality leading to poor yield of staple crops. People affected by flood are homeless with no form of protection. They are exposed to environmental hazards such as insect bites, cold, and animal attacks which could affect their wellness and quality of life. People may lose their lives in the process thereby causing a fall in the human population.
