Answer:

Explanation:

Global climate change has a tremendous impact on changes in sea level. A rise in the sea level occurs as a result of melting of glacial ice and expansion of the upper oceans. Sea level rise could lead to flooding and storm surges and this increases the risk of drowning, loss of property and displacement from homes.  It affects human health and production negatively as they are exposed to hazards caused by flooding. This could also affect the soil quality leading to poor yield of staple crops. People affected by flood are homeless with no form of protection. They are exposed to environmental hazards such as insect bites, cold, and animal attacks which could affect their wellness and quality of life. People may lose their lives in the process thereby causing a fall in the human population.

Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

The citric acid cycle is fundamental to produce the energy needed for aerobic cell metabolism, thereby mutations in the enzymes involved in this metabolic pathway would be lethal to the individual

Explanation:

In aerobic organisms, the citric acid cycle (also known as the Krebs cycle), is a key metabolic pathway used to remove electrons and uses them in the electron transport chain in order to generate adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency of the cell. The citric acid cycle depends on eight enzymes that oxidize acetyl-CoA into two molecules each of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). Thus, the citric acid cycle is a series of chemical reactions that are key to breakdown carbohydrates, fats and proteins into CO2 and H2O in order to produce energy (ATP).
