The Bureau of Indians Affairs was formed on March 11, 1824, by John C. Calhoun. Since its conception, the Bureau protecs the assets and enhanced the quality of life of American Indians. That is what the Bureau did during the Great Depression in America that began in October 1929, after the stock market crash in which thousands of people lost their jobs, many companies closed, and banks went into bankruptcy.
