Maintaining a clean working environment is important to Namco, an industrial parts manufacturer. Cleaning the plant is the respo

nsibility of the maintenance department.
The 65,000 square foot plant is thoroughly cleaned from four to eight times a month depending on the level and stage of production. For the most recent month, March, the plant was cleaned four times.

The production schedule for the next quarter (April through June) indicates that the plant will need to be cleaned five, six, and eight times respectively. Two of the resources needed to clean the plant are labor and cleaning supplies.

The cost driver for both resources is number of times the plant is cleaned. Plant cleaning laborers are full-time employees who are paid the same wages regardless of the number of times the plant is cleaned. Cleaning supplies is a variable cost. The March cost of labor was $25,000 and cleaning supplies used cost $8,500.

Prepare a table that shows how labor cost, cleaning supplies cost, total cost and total cost per cleaning changes in response to the number of times the plant is cleaned. What is the predicted total cost of plant cleaning for the next quarter?

Answer:

For the month of march, labour cost per cleaning = $250,000/4 = $62,500

supplies cost per cleaning = $8500/4 = $2,125

For the month of April ,

labour cost = $62,500 * 5 = $312,500

Supplies cost = $2,125 * 5 = $10,625

for the month of May,

labour cost = $62,500 * 6 = $385,625

supplies cost = $2,125 * 6 = $12,750

For the month of June

Lanour cost = $62,500 * 8 = $800,000

Supplies Cost = $2,125 * 8 = $17,000

Total estimated cost for the Quarter

Labour cost :

April $312,500

May 385,625

June 800,000 1,498,125

Supplies Cost :

April $10,625

May 12,750

June 17,000 40,375

Total cost 1,538,500

According to your text, sales promotions such as free smples and point-of-purchase displays are designed to build. are called "Short-Term sales."

What is short term sales?

An property or stock that the seller doesn't own is sold in a short sale. The typical transaction involves an investor selling borrowed securities in expectation of a decrease in price; the seller is then obligated to deliver the same number of shares at a later date. A seller, on the other hand, holds a long position in the stock or asset.

Some characteristics of short term sales are-

  • A stock that its an investor believes will lose value in the near future is sold short.
  • A trader borrows shares on margin for a set length of time to complete a short sale, selling the stock when the price is attained or the period of time has passed.
  • Because short sells restrict gains while amplifying losses, they are regarded as dangerous trading techniques. Additionally, they come with regulatory hazards.
  • To be successful, short sales need to be timed almost perfectly.

The high road of this part of the bible defines cooperation and continuity in the work setting with ethical behavior.

Explanation:

Beyond just the work environment, value pairs are applied to day-to-day decision-making and to encounters with both the refer squad. It's also a core competency for maintaining the manager 's reputation.

Next, a bit of comparison and context. Morality is not morality. Ethics is a very unique, independently held code of conduct. Morality has a fluidity that varies over time, depending on social and cultural norms. Imagine the reaction to Brittney Spears for a minute when she appeared in the 1960s on Ed Sullivan show.

On August 1, our company purchases $1,000 worth of merchandise inventory on credit with the terms 2/10, n/30. What is the amount
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

a) $1,000

Explanation:

Early Settlement Discount

This form of quotation is common with suppliers offering their customers deferred payment arrangement in a sale contract. Usually, under this arrangement customers are allowed to purchase goods on credit and settle their acccount at a specified later date.

However, to encourage customers to pay up their outstanding earlier than expected, suppliers do offer early settlement discount as incentives to induce prompt payment.

A quotation of 2/10, n/30

This implies that the customer is a given a 30-day period from the date of purchase within which he is expected to settle his account. However, if he does so within the next 10 days of purchase he will be given a 2% discount.

Applying this to the question, the purchase date is August 1, the the latest date for which account is settle to qualify for early settlement discount will be 11 days i.e (1+10) .

Since the payment will be made on August 12, no cash discount will received. Therefore, a payment of gross amount of $1,000 would be credited to the cash account.
