Feeling depressed because there is no sign of rescuers, Brian cleans up his camp to get some control over his situation. About midday he looks at himself in the lake. Which pronoun best completes the sentence? How is the pronoun used? Dad made these pickle-and-peanut-butter sandwiches for _____
Basile [38]

Start by labeling the other nouns in the sentence. Dad is the subject, and pickle-and-peanut-butter sandwiches are the indirect objects, because the direct object, which is now known as ___ and Stan, is receiving them. So eliminate A and B because they are indirect objects. We is a subjective pronoun, and us is an objective, so the correct answer is C.
