4/12 or simplified 1/3
get the common denominator first
3/4 multiply both numbers but 3 so the denominator can equal 12
3/4 turns into 9/12
she needed 5/12 fabric
9-5=4
keep the denominator

If point A is located at (8,6) and point B is located at (-3,0). Point C is between points A and B such that AC= 1/4AB. What are
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

<h2>C(1.5;2.75)</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that, point C is between point A and B, that is, it's on the AB segment.

The relation between them is:

AC=\frac{1}{4}=AB

However, the problem is just asking for the coordinates of point C, not the distance AC. So, we just have to divide AB coordinates by four, that is, the difference between coordinates A and B, then we find their fourth part:

C(\frac{x_{2}-x_{1} }{4} ;\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{4} )\\C(\frac{6-0}{4} ;\frac{8-(-3)}{4} )\\C(\frac{6}{4} ;\frac{11}{4} )\\C(1.5;2.75)
