The Great Leap Forward was brought forth by Chinese Communist Party that had an economic and social campaign to transform the country into a socialist society geared towards industrialization and collectivization. This organization was led by Mao Zedong which has eventually led to famine in China because of its miscalculated reforms. While the Cultural Revolution was also Mao Zedong’s delusional idea that he can reassert his authority over the Chinese Government. It was a series of violence and torture which has been imbedded in Chinese political history. Both change the course how Chinese politics happened during those early days and both were caused by Mao Ze Dong.
