The correct option is D.
Kovaloff wake up one morning to discover that his nose was gone. He made several attempt to look for his nose without any success. Kovaloff believed that his nose disappeared because of the widow who laid a curse on him. The widow wanted Kovaloff, who is a bachelor to marry her daughter but he refused because he preferred someone who is rich. He wrote a letter to the woman accusing her of cursing him and asked her to undo the harm. Eventually, Kovaloff got his nose back. This makes him very happy and he decided that he will not marry the girl after all.

The inference that can be made based on this excerpt is A. Mrs. Flowers is aware of how other people feel.

It shows that Mrs. Flowers thought ahead by considering not only children's behavior in general--"Children these days would bust out of sheet-metal clothes. They so rough."--but also what Mrs. Henderson would expect to avoid problems with the dress. Because of her awareness of others' feelings, she knew what to do before she was even asked.

In the very first chapter of To Kill a Mockingbird, we find out that there is a light-pole stands on the corner of the street near the Radley Place

Explanation:

Radley gate. There he would stand, his arm around the fat pole, staring

and wondering."
