Blank 1: Ideology

Blank 2: Propaganda

Blank 3: Biased

While history is often thought of as the telling of events and facts about the past, it is also a process of interpretation. In some cases, information might be incomplete, or contradictory, and the historian has to decide which sources to consider and which ones to dismiss.

Ideally, the decision should be based on factors that support the informants reliability, but occasionally, the decision is based on the ideology of the historian. This leaves us with a biased and inaccurate view of history, and it is a practice that should be avoided as much as possible by professionals.

balu736 [363]

Answer:

The right answer is:

d. linguistic, theological, and cultural differences.

Explanation:

In 1054 AD, the year of the schism of Christianity, many differences and contradictions had accumulated. The theology of the Eastern Church was based on Greek philosophy, while the Roman Church´s theology was based on Roman law. Here was a source of misunderstandings, particularly around a fundamental doctrine: the emanation of the Holy Spirit from the Father. The Orthodox Church also questioned the enforcement of celibacy by Rome, the exclusive right of bishops to administer confirmations and the presence of unleavened bread in the Eucharist. Political rivalries and interests also played a role in this division that continues until today.

Invasions by Barbarian tribes

Invasions by Barbarian tribesThe most straightforward theory for Western Rome's collapse pins the fall on a string of military losses sustained against outside forces.
