Rosa parks refused to give up her seat on a bus because back then buses where labeled. the front of the bus the seats were labeled white people, and the back was labeled black people. one day a white man had gotten onto the bus and told Rosa parks to move back because the white section was full. and if the white section was full they would move the sign labeled black people back a seat just so the white people could sit down. well Rosa parks refused to give up her seat for the guy.
