B is correct, "<span> Christina and I went to the same summer camp for years (since we were 8)" </span>parentheses are used when you have some extra information you want to add, but its not completely necessary. Like how they started going to the same summer camp when they were 8, you can still read the sentence fine without it, but it's a nice piece of information.

Which type of people did not belong to any of three estates in medieval society?
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

In France, the three estates included the Church, the nobles, and the peasants. I believe that the same thing happened in England - nobles and peasants were a part of these estates in medieval England, and later on merchants, or tradesmen were added. But I would say that scholars didn't belong to any of the three estates in medieval English society, however, I am not completely sure.

Which choice best introduces the passage? Choose 1 answer: (Choice A) A Programs instituted by President Franklin Delano Rooseve
erastova [34]

When it comes to choosing a sentence that would best introduce the passage, we can select the following option:

B. In the middle of the San Francisco Bay sits a 400-acre island that, 80 years ago, did not exist.

<h3>Why option B?</h3>

The passage focuses on the creation of Treasure Island in 1939 for the World's Fair. Treasure Island is now a suburban community. Therefore, we must choose a sentence that properly introduces the topic of the passage, which is Treasure Island.

The only option that does that is letter B. It speaks of a 400-acre island that did not exist 80 years ago - that is, Treasure Island. All the other options focus on other topics, which makes them improper to introduce the passage.

The missing passage necessary to answer this question is the following:

[1] Treasure Island, today a suburban community, was originally created for the 1939 World's Fair. The World's Fair was a celebration of international culture and technology. In the midst of the economic uncertainties of the Great Depression, Treasure Island and its accompanying fair offered a glimpse of optimism and provided San Francisco a platform from which to showcase its latest innovations.
