Answer:

The number of :  Spruce planted is  700

                            :Oaks  planted is  1450

                            :Hemlocks planted  is 2100

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of spruce planted = k

So,the number of hemlocks planted =  3k

And, the number of oaks planted = 50 + 2k

Total saplings planted = 4250

Now, Total saplings planted = Number of { spruce planted + oaks planted + hemlocks planted}

or, 4250 = k + 3k + (50 +2k)

⇒ 4250 - 50 = 6k

or, 6k = 4200

⇒ k =  (4200 / 6)  = 700  ⇒ k = 700

So, the number of spruce planted = 700

Number of Oaks planted = 50 + 2k = 50 + 1400 = 1450

ans, the number of hemlocks planted= 3k = 3 x 700 = 2100

Can anyone answer this for me?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

y = 2 - x^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

x^{2} results in a parabola (U-shape). Adding a negative in front of it flips the parabola to look like an upside-down U.

The 2 makes it shift up two decimal spots to (0,2).
